This week was probably one of the most eventful weeks in my high school career! My birthday was on March 18th! I had a lot of fun and was able to celebrate it with my best friend by watching the new Jujitsu Kaisen 0 movie. It was very much a birthday to remember.

Unfortunately, on the same day and day after, I was rejected by two schools I thought I had a good chance of getting into. It definitely felt like a major setback, however, I still have more decisions left to wait on.

After that, for my Mayor’s Youth Council, we had our monthly meeting and decided what project we were going to do as our proposal and we will show this to the Frisco council at the end of the program! I am very excited to be a part of this. Our project will be showing the benefits of asking for teen opinions in surveys especially when the policy directly impacts our age group. We will do this by comparing the mayor's council-run survey on the upcoming project of the crystal lagoon and compare it to what the teens in the survey say they want it to have. I feel very strongly about giving our age group a greater voice due to the fact that the policy directly impacts us, so I feel very proud to be a part of this project!

Overall, this week had many ups and downs, however, it definitely showed me that there are many great things left in store for the year!
