In this week of ism, I was able to create my fourth research assessment. I did the assessment over the article “Incidentally Identified Coronary Artery Calcium on Non-Contrast CT Scan of the Chest Predicts Major Adverse Cardiac Events among Hospital Inpatients.” This article discussed using CAC levels to gauge the risk of Major adverse Cardiac Events (MACE) in patients. This article was very interesting to me! It presents a somewhat currently overlooked way to help diagnose patients.
In addition, this week was ISM Symposium week! I thoroughly enjoyed the event, and I was able to talk to professionals in many different fields and also gain insight into the professional world. I was also able to talk to students I had never met from different schools and form connections with them.
Lastly, I also submitted my original work. I plan to create an educational website to help the community. This will definitely take a lot of time and effort, but I am excited to research my field and see where it takes me!
In summary, I was able to learn more about my topic and also delve deeper into the professional world!
