Delving into my Topic: Sept 13th - Sept 19th

In this week of ISM, I finalized my topic of study, which is Cardiology. I realized that this field would be a good fit for me because I am very curious to learn more about this field the most!

I was also able to complete my second research assessment. I annotated an article called “The impact of Covid-19 on cardiac imaging in Europe” and analyzed it. It was very interesting to learn about the far reaches of covid and how it impacts other branches of medicine such as cardiology and I also realized the importance of accessibility to cardiac treatment.

In addition, I finalized my resume. I was able to hear back from my peers and take the advice to tweak my rough draft to elevate it into the finished product. I was also able to collaborate with other peers on their own resumes and give my own suggestions. I saw new and interesting resume templates, which helped me format my own as well!

Learning about my field has been very interesting! I cannot wait to be able to start applying this information to the real world when I start seeking out interviews and a mentor!
