Interviews Galore!: Dec 6th - Dec 12th

In this week of ISM, I was able to make much progress on my work! I was able to interview both Dr. Bharat Mudalgi and Dr. Amit Shah. In Dr. Mudalgi’s interview, I learned about the technological advances in the field of radiology and its implications for the cardiology field. I also gained anecdotes of his experience as a doctor both in the US and India, allowing me to see the difference between the two healthcare systems. In Dr. Amit Shah’s interview, I was able to learn about the importance of diagnosing skin problems and their effects on the inner body system, as well as the benefits and cons of opening a private practice. Both interviews were extremely informative and insightful in my journey of becoming a medical professional.

In addition, I was able to get in contact with my first cardiologist! His name is Dr. Rajiv Parmar. I have reached out for scheduling an interview after he expressed interest, but I am currently waiting to hear back from him. I am very excited to interview him as he is a very experienced cardiologist and I hope to gain his wisdom and advice.
