Rice and Orlando!: Mar 21st - Mar 27th

This week was probably one of the most enjoyable weeks of my entire senior year! My hard work has paid off significantly!

I got accepted into Rice! This is my absolute dream school and I was incredibly honored to get my acceptance letter! I really did not think I would have gotten in, but I was pleasantly surprised. My alumni interviewer even called me afterward to congratulate me, highlighting that I would be a great fit. This made me extremely happy and thrilled to be potentially spending my next four years here.

I also went on the yearly band trip to Orlando, Florida! I was definitely a bit stressed about packing everything needed and having more responsibility, but it was really such a great experience. I went to Epcot and Universal with some of my closest friends for three days and was able to get many pictures to remember the occasion. I also got to perform with the band at Universal! It felt very nostalgic since that is likely the last time I will play most of those songs ever again. It was also definitely a bit nerve-wracking to be flying without my parents for the first time, but it went for the most part smoothly.

Overall, I had a super fun and memorable week!
