Topic Proposal: Sept 20th - Sept 26th

During this week of ISM, I created my Topic Proposal to study during ISM. Completing this proposal allowed me to get more specific about what I want to delve into for this year, which is cardiology, particularly surgery such as angioplasty, primary PCI, etc. I also realized that one of my goals for this year is to see surgery in action and maybe complete a research paper by the end of the year.

In addition, I was able to learn valuable skills about cold calling, such as how to speak to a professional over the phone and the importance of proper etiquette. In addition, I have also started looking at possibiile cardiologists to interview by researching different hospitals as well as looking at the ISM class network. This will greatly assist me when I start conducting research interviews and then finding a mentor.

Also, I have started my third research assessment. I have been looking at articles and deciding which article to analyze next. The world of cardiology is very interesting and I enjoy learning more about my field.

Overall, I am super excited to be getting closer to meeting professionals in my field as well as completing my final product for ISM!
