During this week of ISM, I mainly focused on readying my display board for the winter showcase! I am very excited to be able to build my network and learn from other students.
In order to create my board, I had to compile all of my research and interviews into a one-pager that was comprehensive and easy to follow. This definitely took quite some time for me to edit and revise, however, I was able to accomplish it. In addition, figuring out my color scheme as well as text font took careful planning from the start to ensure that nothing would clash. I am glad that I took the time to plan in the beginning because I ended up making many minor tweaks that I would not have had time for had I rushed the board. For example, my ISM teacher suggested I used a heart stethoscope in the title, which I was able to implement. In addition, I was originally going to stick my original work brochures on the board but have now opted to take my laptop to show it instead. As for my overall progress, I finished cutting out and printing out all of the elements of my board. All that is left is for me to stick it to the actual board itself.
Lastly, Dr. Parmar agreed to be my advisor! This is definitely exciting news. I hope to continue staying in touch with him.
